Wherwell is a printed and finished pure linen.  The design originated as an embroidery sewn in the 1920's by Caroline Inchyra's great-grandmother after she and her husband retired to the historic Hampshire village of Wherwell.  Her descendants live in the same cottage, which dates from 1516, to this day.
