Wherwell is a printed and finished pure linen. The design originated as an embroidery sewn in the 1920's by Caroline Inchyra's great-grandmother after she and her husband retired to the historic Hampshire village of Wherwell. Her descendants live in the same cottage, which dates from 1516, to this day. Wherwell is finished with our specialist processes to produce a pleasingly aged and softened linen.

Colours: we endeavour to show colours as correctly as possible, however, colours can vary depending on how you are viewing our website. In addition, flat shots are notoriously difficult to show correctly, particularly whites, and it is for this reason that we include the 'lifestyle' swatch image which is likely to be the closest to the actual product.
