The full Inchyra fabric collection can now be seen in its entirety at the fascinating Cupar showroom of At The Sign of The Pelican.
This very special antiques showroom, curated and owned by renowned antiques expert Sebastian Pryke, is a great fit for Inchyra and it is lovely to see our linens and wools alongside his superb Scottish furniture.
Sebastian’s passion for and knowledge of Scottish furniture is unsurpassed. It originated with the research he carried out for his doctoral thesis on the Eighteenth-Century Furniture Trade in Edinburgh. This led to a career in Scottish heritage, art and antiques, initially as a Historic Buildings inspector at Historic Scotland and then as a Fine Art auctioneer. He became a director of Phillips Scotland and subsequently head of furniture at Lyon & Turnbull.
At The Sign Of The Pelican opened in 2014 and is the result of Sebastian's lifelong passion for Scottish antiques. It is the only specialist showroom for this furniture in the UK.
Inchyra and The Pelican are a very good fit and you can already see this adorable child's armchair covered in our Beauclerc Stripe Aged Linen.
It is wonderful to be able to make our fabrics more easily accessible to clients in Scotland. Large hangings of each Inchyra fabric can be seen at the showroom as well as small swatch samples for customers to take away.
Viewing at the showroom is by appointment. You can contact Sebastian on 07487 738 963.
